Jill Smokoski began working with ABC in 2015 as a parent coach in New York City. After achieving certification in both the infant and toddler models, she completed training to become an ABC clinical supervisor at her local agency. Jill joined the lab as a consultant in 2018, providing both clinical and ITM supervision while she pursues further study. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Global African Studies from Seattle University and her master’s in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology: Prevention and Treatment from University of Washington. Her primary clinical and research interests are in promoting strong child-caregiver relationships to build resilience in young children, understanding the impact of trauma and toxic stress on parenting practices in at-risk communities, and implementing evidence-based treatment with cultural competence.
